‘The school is a hub at the centre of your community and is held in very high regard. Pupils love coming to school and are proud to be members of the Samlesbury community. They enjoy their learning and are keen to share what they know and it is no surprise that they rarely miss a day of school. Relationships between staff and pupils are consistently positive and nurturing and behaviour is exemplary.’

‘Pupils know what they are doing and quickly engage with their learning because teachers offer clear explanations. Teachers have high expectations of pupils.’

‘Assessment information and work in pupils’ books shows that pupils make good progress over time.’

A parent’s view: ‘Samlesbury is a warm, welcoming and brilliant school that has the feel of a big family unit.’
